Garden Coach

Coaching vs. Consulting

Wikipedia says “A coach is a person who supports clients to achieve their goals, with goal setting, encouragement and questions.

As overwhelming as your garden might seem, it boils down to three questions: What do you have to work with, what are you hoping to accomplish, and how do you make it happen? Having someone there to draw out the answers and get you moving forward is the job of a coach.

With regard to design, as your garden coach I’ll ask questions to help you look at your garden in a new way.

To help you achieve the most  environmentally-friendly care for your garden, I’ll be at your side demonstrating the easiest techniques, smartest materials, and coolest tools for making your work in the garden a pleasant experience.

And if working your own garden isn’t your idea of a fun weekend, I’ll help you develop a ‘green’ work plan from our Garden Planting Service and Maintenance program that fits your budget.

As for the consulting side of the equation, more extensive guidance is available in the form of sketches, reports, direct plantings and guidance  in our Planting Services & Maintenance Programs.  We also have a great group of independent landscapers that shop at the garden center we could recommend.

Garden Planting Services

Softscape plantings:
We offer a planting service for your borders, gardens & containers. Sourcing the plants and planting them in your garden.

Sit back and relax

All borders are prepared for planting, including fertilizer and soil supplements to give your new specimens the best start in life.  We will then position and plant them for you.

A gardener knows all too well that planting is often the most influential aspect upon the mood of any garden.  If you require your garden to be planted once the hard landscaping is complete, then our planting service can prove invaluable.

This involves locating the plants required for your design, which can include large specimen plants for instant effect.  Once all the plant varieties are located, we arrange delivery, and check the plants supplied are correct and in good condition, then plant.

At the end of the project, you will be given a simple layout and plant descriptions with care needs, so you can manage their care after we are gone.
