How to build a Raised Garden Bed?

The Anchors Joints are a simple way to anchor the raised garden beds down and garden borders in even the harshest climate. Drive the barbed stake into the ground and it stays put! Each pack contains 2 anchor stakes, 4 brackets, 2 caps and hardware.

The Stacking Joints are designed to quickly add more height to any project. Simply slide the Stacking Joint into the joint below for a rigid support, then add the 2" x 6" lumber planking to the brackets for a second or more level.

Accent your landscaping with the power of the sun. No ugly electrical cords or inconvenient outlets required. Conserve energy while bringing the light to the night. Lighting stakes fit perfectly into our anchor and stacking joints

If you like to get out of the 'box' now and then, you can create your own unique raised bed any shape or size by using the corner Anchor and Stacking joints with 2”x 6” lumber, from your local lumber yard. If you stack three pieces of lumber high you have a deeper bed, about 17” high, allowing you to bend over less. This is the maximum recommended height.

One of Frame It All’s great design features – the flanges pivot on a hinge, allowing you to make a bed octagonal, star or angled to any desired shape. I used standard lumber (2" x 6"), However, Frame it All does have composite timbers if you prefer.  *To use up some left over lumber from a project, I used 2, 2” x 4”’s in the same joint, it worked. It was not beautiful, but it worked.

Anchor joints (base): have an 10 1/4 inch in the ground depth, saw-toothed stake that can be hammered into the ground that will hold the raised bed in place. They rotate 360 degrees, and firmly hold the 2” x 6” lumber in place.  $12.99 pack at the Garden Center

Stacking joints (add height):
slide into the Anchor Joints to provide additional height, also rotating 360 degrees, holding the 2” x 6” lumber in place.  $11.99 pack at the Garden Center

Caps:
cover the tops of the top Stacking Joints, keeping debris, and other grit from getting into the joints.

Screws:
each Joint comes with 4 black zinc-plated steel screws to firmly hold the lumber in place. Here is where my power drill becomes my best friend by making it easier to attach the screws through the joints into the lumber.

Adaptability:
If you decide, down the road, you want this raised bed in a different location?  Let’s say, your garden is not getting enough sun because the nearby tree blocked the sun, or it is in the line of fire of visiting deer. All you have to do is unscrew the corners from the lumber, lift the lumber, the Stacking and Anchor joints.  Reassemble the raised bed where you want it, and fill with new soil or use the soil you had in the old location. It doesn’t get any easier and adaptable then this.  I love it.

When you come by the garden center you will see the crooked garden beds
around the kids crooked houses.  A match made in heaven.
